Research & Planning
The redesign process began with a thorough analysis of the existing site, identifying areas for improvement in structure and content organization. Information architecture and site planning played a crucial role in refining the layout, ensuring a more intuitive user experience.
We sent out a short ranking survey to high school seniors in the area to get a better idea of what they expect to see being prioritized on a university home page.

Content planning and preparation was essential in organizing key information, ensuring clarity, and aligning the redesign with our user needs and expectations.

We explored multiple different visual options and components throughout the process to find the most effective layout. After extensive testing and comparisons, the team refined elements such as navigation, typography, and imagery to create a cohesive and user-friendly design.
One of the key factors of our redesign was to emphasize consistency across the page. This approach ensured a cohesive visual identity for users to navigate.

The Value of Iteration & Testing
With a tight deadline, I saw firsthand how crucial continuous user feedback is. While we conducted usability testing, I realized that more rounds of iteration could have further refined the experience.

Balancing Scope & Depth
Working within project requirements and time constraints meant focusing only on the home page. This taught me how to prioritize key areas while recognizing the impact of a more comprehensive redesign. If given more flexibility, expanding to multiple pages would have provided a more holistic solution.
